IWI’s Annual General Meeting was held in Rother Mills, 10 Mennica Street, Bydgoszcz, on Sunday, June 23, 2024. We were pleased to hold an in-person AGM, as we did in 2022 in Leipzig. Nearly 40 attended the meeting, while several attended remotely via video connection kindly provided by the hosts, the Bydgoszcz Tourist Office and Conference Bureau. President Sharon Leighton gave her first annual report, and Duncan Hay was elected to Council to serve as WCC contact person replacing Dave Ballinger. The president’s report and the financial statement were approved. After the formal proceedings, presentations were given by the team from Buffalo organising the WCC on the Erie Canal in 2025, and by the 2026 hosts, the city of Guilin in Guangxi Province, China.
