Terms and conditions

1. Order Online
Making a purchase on-line could not be easier. Just search or browse the categories of our on-line shop – including Membership subscriptions – and select the items that you wish to order by clicking on the ‘add to cart’ button. When your selection is completed, click on the ‘Checkout’ link and you will be asked for additional information that we need to fulfil your order.

2. Prices and Discounts
All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and prices are subject to change without notice. Postage at the most economic rate is added to each order. Postage will show as zero in the case of membership or digital products. In the case of on-line orders, the total amount due is displayed before the credit card transaction is completed. No extra costs will be charged on a completed transaction.Inland Waterways International assumes responsibility for possible variations in postage rates.

3. Shipping and handling
No charge is made for handling and packing. Postage is charged at the economic rate currently applied for letters and parcels. No charge is added in case of downloadable digital products or IWI membership.

4. Payment
To order our publications or pay your membership subscription on-line, you will need a valid credit or debit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Visa Electron, Maestro, Amex.

5. Invoice
The shop will issue an invoice, which will be sent automatically to the registered e-mail address on completion of payment. This will be indifferently termed ‘Invoice’, whether for products or for IWI membership.

6. Credit card information
No information referring to your credit (or debit) card is stored in the profile nor will it be accessed by Inland Waterways International; bank details will be entered solely on the secure online payment facility managed on our behalf by WorldPay. For details of the WorldPay secure on-line payment facility, click on the appropriate link while on their server, which is completely independent of the server and data base maintained by Inland Waterways International.

7. IWI membership subscriptions
Membership subscriptions are collected for Inland Waterways International.

8. Refunds Policy
You are entitled to a full refund including the initial delivery charge only if you return a product (see clause 9) within seven working days. Notice of your intention to return the product should be sent to sales@inlandwaterwaysinternational.org.
Subscription for membership of Inland Waterways International is a voluntary act in support of the association’s activities, and no refund will be made. Any claim or request relating to membership should be addressed to membership@inlandwaterwaysinternational.org.

9. Returns Policy
Transactions are concluded on a firm sales basis only with no right of return, unless the order is accidentally damaged on delivery, or incorrectly supplied. To request the return of damaged books or maps, or products incorrectly supplied, please contact sales@inlandwaterwaysinternational.org

10. Cancellations
To amend or cancel a completed on-line order, please contact Inland Waterways International via e-mail sales@inlandwaterwaysinternational.org within one hour following the purchase.

11. Disputes
The County Court of Horsham, West Sussex, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from sales and transactions on this site, if not settled by amicable agreement.

12. Cookies
We use cookies to identify your basket while you are visiting our site. Your browser should automatically delete the cookie shortly after you leave our site.

13. Your registration details
Your registration details are stored on our secure server.

14. About security
We collect and store the e-mail addresses of customers and/or members who order from us or who sign up to any of our services. Under the terms of UK Human Rights Act of 1998, and its provisions for Protection of Civil Liberties, we are bound not to make those e-mail addresses available to any third parties. However, the invoice issued on completion of the transaction will include an opt-out invitation. If this option is not selected, your e-mail address may be shared with the organisers of the World Canals Conference and related activities. On request, we undertake to supply details of information retained in our data base, and to delete or modify these details as may be required by any client or member.
